Introduction to the Index Page

Welcome to the PlayFinder Index page! This is your community’s central hub for discovering upcoming events, accessing helpful resources, and managing your PlayFinder profile. Whether you’re a returning user or visiting for the first time, the Index page makes it easy to:

• Browse Upcoming Events: See what’s happening soon in your community, including locations, organizations, and event details.
• Search for Opportunities: Use the search bar to find programs, facilities, organizations, and more.
• Manage Your Account: Sign in to access your PlayFinder profile, register for events, or set up your account if you’re new.
• Get Help: Find quick links to guides on creating an account or registering for programming.

If you’re signed in, you’ll see personalized options to manage your registrations and memberships. If you’re not signed in, you can easily create an account or find instructions to get started.

Explore what’s available, stay connected with your community, and make the most of PlayFinder!

User Actions

• If a message about registration is available, it will appear in a blue information box at the top of the page.

• A scrolling text area displays important messages or announcements. This text moves horizontally across the screen.

• If your community has a Facebook page, a link labeled "Facebook" is shown. Clicking this link opens the community's Facebook page in a new tab.

• If you are signed in and have a PlayFinder profile:

  • A message encourages you to use the "Your PlayFinder" button.
  • The "Your PlayFinder" button lets you access and manage your registrations, memberships, equipment, and more. Clicking this button takes you to your PlayFinder profile page.
  • The "How to Register" button opens a guide in a new tab with instructions on how to register for programming.

• If you are signed in but do not have a PlayFinder profile:

  • A message encourages you to set up your profile.
  • The "Setup PlayFinder Profile" button allows you to add your personal information to discover and access opportunities. Clicking this button takes you to the profile setup page.
  • The "How to Register" button opens a guide in a new tab with instructions on how to register for programming.

• If you are not signed in:

  • The "How to Create an Account" button opens a guide in a new tab with instructions on creating an account.
  • The "Create an Account" button takes you to the account registration page where you can sign up for PlayFinder.
  • The "How to Register" button opens a guide in a new tab with instructions on how to register for programming.

• In the center of the page, there is a search bar:

  • You can type keywords into the search box to look for organizations, events, or other information.
  • Clicking the magnifying glass button or pressing Enter will start the search and show relevant results.

• Under the "Happening soon in [Community Name]" heading:

  • If there are no upcoming events, a blue information box tells you that there are currently no events and to check back soon.
  • If there are upcoming events, they are listed in a table with columns for Location, Organization, Event Title, Start Date, and End Date.
    • Each event title is a clickable link. Clicking an event title opens the event's details in a new tab.
