Introduction to the Search Page

The Search page helps you quickly find organizations, facilities, programs, and destinations based on your interests and needs. You can filter results by type and activity, and view detailed information for each item, including descriptions, contact details, and available actions such as visiting websites, viewing schedules, or requesting bookings.

Results are displayed in a sortable table, allowing you to organize listings by name, community, type, or activity. For each item, you can access more information, contact options, and relevant links directly from the table. The page is designed to be responsive, with additional details and actions available for both desktop and mobile users.

Use the filters at the top of the page to refine your search, and explore the results to find the resources and opportunities that best suit your needs. If you need help, click the Help button at the top of the page for guidance.

Dropdown Menus

On this page, you will see the following dropdown menus:

  1. Type Dropdown

    • Purpose: This dropdown allows you to filter the search results by the type of organization or facility you are interested in. For example, you might want to see only community organizations, facilities, or programs.
    • Options: The options in this dropdown include different types of organizations or facilities, such as "Community Sport Organization," "Provincial Organization," "Community Organization," "Facility," "Program," and "Destination." The exact options may vary depending on what is available.
  2. Activity Dropdown

    • Purpose: This dropdown lets you filter the search results by the type of activity offered. This helps you find organizations, facilities, or programs that match your interests.
    • Options: The options in this dropdown include various activities, such as specific sports or recreational activities. The list of activities will depend on what is available in the system.
  3. Actions Dropdown (in the results table)

    • Purpose: For each search result, there is an "Actions" dropdown menu that provides quick links to interact with the organization or facility.
    • Options: The options in this dropdown vary depending on what information is available for each result. Common options include:
      • Email: Send an email to the organization or facility.
      • Website: Visit their website.
      • Social Media: Links to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, or LinkedIn if available.
      • Schedule: View the schedule for programs or facilities.
      • Request Booking: Request booking access for a facility (if you are logged in and eligible).
      • Equipment: Access equipment-related features if available.

These dropdown menus are designed to help you filter and interact with the search results more easily. All dropdowns are visible and accessible to users on the page.
