PlayFinder is a Nova Scotia–based, community-driven platform that makes it easier to discover, access, and manage recreation and sport opportunities—especially in rural communities.

Whether you’re a parent looking for local programs, a visitor exploring trails and places to play, or a community leader managing recreation services, PlayFinder brings everything together in one easy-to-use place.

We’re proudly built by communities, for communities. PlayFinder was developed collaboratively with municipalities, organizations, volunteers, and families who live and play in the regions we serve. The platform grew out of real, lived experience in pilot communities, where fragmented systems and limited capacity were creating barriers for staff, volunteers, and families alike.

PlayFinder connects people to programs, parks, trails, facilities, events, and shared spaces—while also giving organizations and municipalities the tools they need to manage programming, communicate effectively, and grow their impact. Our goal is to reduce friction, improve access to information, and help people spend less time searching and more time participating.

We’re a small team who live, work, raise families, and volunteer in communities across northern Nova Scotia. As a social enterprise, PlayFinder is driven by a commitment to equity, inclusion, and community development. We reinvest in the communities we serve and believe that access to recreation is foundational to healthy, connected places.
