To educate and motivate all citizens to improve their daily physical activity in order to make their community a happier, healthier, and more active place. The brand Active Pictou County was designed to help achieve this goal.

 It consists of after school activities, trail construction, active transportation, and enhancing access to programmes and services are just a few of the projects that Active Pictou County employees help with. It is a partnership between the town of Pictou and the municipality of Pictou County under the Province of Nova Scotia municipal physical activity leadership program.
